Natural Lipstick

As far as cosmetics go, one of the most timeless and archetypal products is lipstick. Having been used in various forms for at least 5,000 years, colourful lips are associated with femininity, beauty and fashion-forwardness; however most conventional products are high in toxic chemicals including endocrine disruptors and heavy metals.

HealthPost carries a range of safe, natural lipsticks to help nourish and protect lips while still ensuring vibrant bursts of colour.

Lipstick Info

For many women, a good lipstick is one of the most essential items in their cosmetics purse. Unfortunately though, when we wear lipstick we also ingest it, and the majority of products on the market today contain a variety of undesirable chemicals including phthalates, parabens, mineral oils, and pigments derived from heavy metals that can accumulate in the body, including lead.

Thankfully, today’s women have options, in the form of lipstick that contains a variety of nourishing plant oils, plant waxes, safe pigments and no compromise on intensity of colour. Producers Karen Murrell, Antipodes and Living Nature all have a wide palette of lipsticks, ranging from soft pinks and corals through to bold reds, pinks and violets.

Product Reviews

  • Inika Pink Poppy

The Lipstick is nice however the colour was wrong . I was expecting Pink Poppy to be pink based but it is more orange based. I know it's hard buying online and maybe in this instance I should have rung you and asked your opinion!!

  • Great lipstick!

Very happy with this organic natural lipstick. It goes on easily and is quite creamy and not drying at all like some natural lipsticks can be. Love the colour!

  • New formula terrible!

    star

I have used this same lipstick for years. It was always a moist lipstick that glides on easily and the colour lasted really well. Now however, it is dry to put on and leaves your lips feeling and looking dehydrated. Please Antipodes, bring back the old recipe!
