Smoothie Ingredients

In our busy, modern lives, it can be difficult for many people to consume their five or more servings of fruit and vegetables in a day. One of the easiest – and most popular - ways to get around this is to have them all at once, in the form of smoothies. Have a look at our range of carefully selected products to help supercharge your smoothie below.

Smoothie Ingredients Info

The simplest way to make a smoothie is to chop up fruit, put it into a base of a water, dairy or nut milk, add some nuts, seeds, oats, or leafy green vegetables, and blend. However, there are many other things you can add to take your smoothie to the next level, often enhancing the flavour in the process. These range from exotic fruits, superfoods and powders, various herbs, protein powders and more.

Fermented foods can add a probiotic boost. Green powders may add nutritional value, particularly where green vegetables are out of season or hard to source. Essential fatty acids such as flaxseed or fish oils can add critical macronutrients lacking in many modern diets.

Take your pick and start your day in a delicious way.

I like this but it did take a while to get used to the pea protein flavour (vs whey I was used to).

As someone who has only used whey protein, I was keen to try something better for me. I'd be lying if I said the texture and taste wasn't a bit of a shock at first but I am totally hooked on Amazonia's Raw Fermented Paleo Proteins. It's satisfying after a work out, light enough to not make me feel icky (specially if I have it before a workout), not sweet- just right. If you're looking to move to a natural protein, you must try this- there is NO WAY I'm going back to whey!!

My only suggestion is to use more water than the directions say (I use 300-400ml instead of 200ml).
