One of the most talked-about vegetables of the past decade, kale has seen its popularity soar from uninspiring green leaf to nutrient-packed superfood. But while many tout its numerous nutritional benefits, few people know much about how to use it beyond adding it to their morning smoothie. Kale chips are one of the most delicious ways to eat more of this green leafy vegetable.

Kale Chips Info
Kale is a member of the Brassica – or cruciferous - vegetable family, and a close relative of other well-known vegetable cultivars within the same family such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and Brussels sprouts. It contains high levels of a number of key micronutrients, including the B vitamin group, vitamin E, vitamin K, manganese, iron, magnesium and potassium.
Cooking can diminish the levels of a number of these vitamins, and as such, consuming it raw is a popular way to enjoy its benefits. Kale chips are made by dehydrating the tough leaves to form a crisp, tasty green vegetable chip, which is often seasoned with herbs and spices to add extra flavour and variety.
