Ginkgo Biloba Info

Gingko biloba is the Maidenhair tree, a unique plant species having no close relatives, and is one of the oldest known medicinal plants. Gingko trees can live to at least 1000 years old and there are claims of some living 2500 years. Their use in Chinese medicine goes back several thousand years.

The distinctive leaves of Gingko biloba, with high levels of antioxidant flavonoids and terpenoids, are the parts of the plant used medicinally.

Ginkgo Biloba Benefits

Gingko is primarily known as a circulatory stimulant and memory enhancer. It is an antioxidant, dilates the blood vessels and inhibits platelet aggregation. Blood flow to the brain and throughout the body to all organs and peripheral areas is increased. Oxygen levels increase while free radical damage decreases, improving cognitive function, memory and concentration while relieving cold hands and feet. Cardiovascular function is also improved, and Gingko can aid eye health, improving visual field damage as well as general function.

Gingko can help people of any age to deal with stressful conditions such as exams and deadlines. As a potent adrenal agent, Gingko supports our ‘stress glands’ to improve functioning in cases of adrenal fatigue or exhaustion. Tinnitus, vertigo and capillary fragility are all indications for Gingko. It is traditionally used to support a healthy aging process and may be effective in improving early stage Alzheimer’s disease, mild anxiety, impaired mental function, short term memory loss, varicose veins and venous insufficiency.

Ginkgo Biloba Side Effects

If you take any type of blood thinning medication check with your health practitioner before taking Gingko biloba. If you are pregnant only use in consultation with your health practitioner.

Product Reviews

  • So far, so good.....

I have been taking it for month only so far, so this is preliminary. I need this fo my Normal Pressure Glaukoma, to inhance the blood circulation of my optical nerves, and it is way to early to form an opinion.
But I noticed that a regular returning tinnitus, whichused to come about opnce a week for a while does no longer appear since I started taking Tebonin. I know that for some people's Tinnitus this has not helped, for me it did.
In a few months after the next eye check up I will write again and tell if this makes any difference.....

That is the reason why there is no real rating

  • I use this product daily for vertigo

If you have suffered from Vertigo you will know the misery this condition brings. I started taking Tebonin nearly 10 gears ago when I had my first debilitating attack. Recommended this product by a chemist I was willing to give anything a go! I have had a couple of rests from taking it but invariably when I do the vertigo will return. This a great product.

  • Not sure yet

    Comment: Re Ginkgo Max 8000
Been taking them daily for a month now, and so far have not noticed much difference, although I wonder if there is an aphrodisiac effect? There seems to be a difference, but time will tell. I do find I am noticing things around me more, and my memory seems to have improved a little.
Would like to see how things are in another month or so.
