Pea Protein Powder Info

Pea protein powder is definitely worth your attention if you’re involved with a fit and active lifestyle. Peas are a rich source of branched chain amino acids (BCAAs - leucine, isoleucine and valine). BCAAs are primarily utilised by your skeletal muscles where they are important to help reduce muscle fatigue, speed recovery and decrease the loss of other amino acids from muscle during exercise; all of which may help revitalise and maintain energised, lean muscle mass.

Other protein powders that contain gluten, soy or lactose may cause digestive discomfort for those with intolerances or allergies, but pea protein is one of the most easily digestible sources of protein available. Consuming protein helps curb your cravings for sugar and carbohydrates whilst helping you feel satisfied longer. That means drinking a pea protein shake may be beneficial for your waistline too. Our other non-animal based protein powders include rice protein and soy protein powders.

Product Reviews

  • Really tasty! Best VALUE vegan protein!

    star

Very good value. Pea and lentil protein. Great taste! I put it in smoothies and make my own style of avocado mousse or seed bars with this, coconut oil and cacao powder. This product works great for all my needs. Have re-purchased. I also like the budget friendly small packs. Shame its not organic, but then it would be pricier.

  • Less is more

    star

I like how this brand is gentle on the stomach but still is pack full of goodness which makes up this protein powder. The turmeric and ginger flavour was a bit over powering when using more than a tablespoon (recommended amount is 1-2 tbsp). Would still prefer the standard vanilla flavour.

  • Delicious, and has a Good Texture

    star

I mixed the protein powder with almond milk in either a shaker or my Nutribullet and it blended perfectly in either situation - no lumps, and not too grainy in texture either. It has a great taste by itself, but works well in a smoothie too (banana or berries, cacao, etc). It didn't make me feel bloated or unwell so that's a bonus! I recommend to anyone looking into dairy-free protein powders.
