Peas are a rich source of branched chain amino acids (BCAAs - leucine, isoleucine and valine). Other protein powders that contain gluten, soy or lactose may cause digestive discomfort for those with intolerances or allergies, but pea protein is one of the most easily digestible sources of protein available. Consuming protein helps curb your cravings for sugar and carbohydrates whilst helping you feel satisfied longer. That means drinking a pea protein shake may be beneficial for your waistline too.     This product has a very light cacao flavour and bitter aftertaste. It has a gritty texture too. Couldn't finish the first shake I made. I'll be sticking to whey protein shakes.

    50g of this with water lasts me well through a workout and through lunchtime, and doesn't taste too bad either. Would have preferred a more chocolatey flavour but i add extra cocoa instead.

    As it was my first time having this protein powder I wasn't sure what to expect, but after trying it a couple of times, it is fair to say that I am converted! It tasted good, had a nice texture and was easy to digest. + I actually liked how sweet it was because it meant that I could add it to things like oatmeal without having to add maple syrup or sugar etc. However, as mentioned by another reviewer, I too wasn't able to have the recommended amount due to the sweetness- although I didn't feel like this is a big deal as it meant that I could have the protein powder numerous times in the day and still be consuming the same quantity. All in all though, I was impressed and I would buy it again!
