Vitamin E Info

Vitamin E is a collection of fat soluble compounds called tocopherols and tocotrienols. The major forms are designated alpha, beta, delta and gamma-tocopherols or tocotrienols.

To date the alpha-tocopherol form has been mainly used to produce vitamin E supplements, however recent research has highlighted the superior benefits of following nature’s blueprint and using mixed tocopherols and tocotrienols.

Natural forms of vitamin E are more readily absorbed by the body than synthetic forms.

Vitamin E Benefits

Vitamin E is an antioxidant with important protective activity against damage to cell membranes from free radicals due to air pollutants and chemical toxins. As well as helping maintain cell membrane integrity, vitamin E enhances immune function. It supports cardiovascular health by protecting artery walls and reducing plaque development due to the harmful effects of oxidated LDL-cholesterol.

Vitamin E used either internally or topically can be an effective treatment for wounds and skin conditions such as eczema or dermatitis. Vitamin E is an important nutrient in sperm health and fertilisation. Babies born prematurely usually have low levels of vitamin E, as do women with preeclampsia. Vitamin E also supports eye health, hormonal balance in women and age-related memory function.

Vitamin E Side Effects

Moderate doses are safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding when taken as directed. Caution if taking anticoagulant medication such as warfarin.

Product Reviews

  • Got rid of hormonal trhush

    star

This has changed my life so much. I used to get hormonal thrush, this is the only thing that has sorted that out. I'm in peri-menopause, this product not only got rid of my hormonal thrush, but also helped me sleep better, calmed me down and also helped with digestion, these things I didn't realise how much I was suffering with them until I started taking it and they were sorted out. I use it in combination with a Liver support.

  • Helps regulate my PMS and my skin issues

    star

Been taking Vit E for a while now, on-and-off for about 4 years, and I can say that it does make a difference especially to my skin and my menstruation (on top of a healthy diet and regular excercise). I take one in the morning and one at night with avocado/other healthy oils/fats and it keeps my skin blemish free and (may be unrelated) my sebum in check. :)

This product has helped the hormones and the effect it was having on the signals to my brain. Even after taking the product for only a few weeks, I have calmed and the estrogen hormones are more evenly balanced. Good results so far!
