Great Lakes Gelatin

Collagen is one of the most abundant and critical proteins in the human body, literally holding us together as the connective tissue that maintains the integrity of our structure. It forms the underlying basis of our entire bodies, and is critical for healthy joints, teeth, skin, and digestion. However, as we age, our ability to produce collagen reduces, and with our heavily processed modern diets we often find ourselves lacking the amino acids and vitamins required to form strong connective tissue and as a result, suffer the health consequences that come with this.

Taking collagen and gelatin supplements is an easy way to increase our body’s levels of this critical nutrient, with animal gelatin being easily assimilated into the body, even in cases of compromised digestive health.

Great Lakes products are sourced sustainably from farmers in the Andes, free from toxic chemical residues, ethically produced from cowhide, and are easily mixed into hot or cold drinks, foods, smoothies and more.

    star

I have taken this product for over 6 months now. It is easy to take - just chuck a tbs in some water and scull :)
I have a few fingers with old injuries that can get really sore and make general activities painful- this product removes the pain! I would not be without it!!!

  • Great for hair!

    star

I have been taking it for gut health but my hair has never been this healthy before. I can only just notice that I have added it to smoothies, otherwise very much a neutral flavour.

  • maybe marine collagen is better for the skin?

    star

any thoughts? maybe marine collagen is better for the skin? after 3months and 3 canisters, the 1 or 2 strands of hair is still white, acne scars are still there or not really minimised, skin glow is not much, maybe it is true that marine collagen is more bioavailable? I even take this on an empty stomach most of the time. Sometimes , I even mix bone broth with it. hard to tell though, but maybe , it helped me with my weight loss? hard to tell since I am on a healthy diet and caloric deficit.similarly , maybe it helped with my IBS and acid reflux? again hard to tell since I am really on a healthy and calorie restricted diet
