Great Erythritol brand

I have PCOS and hubby has an intolerance to insulin. Neither of us have high blood sugar or diabetes so far, but we decided to jump into the keto wagon about 6 months ago before it's too late.
Erythritol is a very easy on the tummy sugar alcohol and it's glycemic index is one. That means it doesn't raise blood sugar or insulin levels. So it is said to be one of the best sugar substitutes (the other one is stevia) for keto enthusiasts and this product has been our holy grail sugar substitute ever since we found it. We love this stuff!
Before we started using this, we were using a Norbu product (monk fruit + erythritol fillers). It tasted similar to this but it was $10.99 for a 200g canister. So yeah..more than twice the price of this product. To date, this is the most affordable erythritol product I found. 1 kg bag lasts us for about 5-6 months. So it is a good bargain in my opinion.
It is good quality, too. I use erythritol in all kinds of drinks, baking and desserts. Have to get crafty sometimes, cuz erythritol doesn't have caramelising, water absorption..etc properties as sugar does. So, I usually use erythritol with a bit of sugar free Torani syrup (they use Splenda as their sweetener which is a sucralose based artificial sweetener) during baking. I also use 'a low carb flour binding agent' for baking (bread/cakes/muffins..etc) such as almond meal to stop erythritol from crystallising. Erythritol is about 66-70% sweet as sugar. So you will need about 1 and 1/3 cup of erythritol to get the same sweetness as 1 cup of sugar.
This product comes in fine granules. It is not a powder so if you plan to use it in making icing/frosting or chocolate you have to grind and sift it first.
There is no bitter after taste like some stevia products does. However, when the granules first come into contact with liquid there is a cooling effect like most other sugar alcohols. My hubby find this to be unpleasant. So I usually grind it or/and dissolve it in some form of liquid before I use in baking/ cooking.
