  • Good product, just too light for my skin tone

    star

I like it that it's mineral and contains no talc. Texture is good and makes my skin looks smooth. I like the packaging too. I'm just not too sure if I'll get it again as this shade seems a tad too light for me though I'm Asian and considered fair skin. Maybe I'll try another shade next time.

  • Not really "pale pink" ...

    star

Silly me - buying makeup online without seeing it in the real world first. Given the name "pale pink" - I was very surprised when this turned up as a very yellowy-golden shade. In fact, the colour seemed so "off" to me I thought maybe the one I got had been mislabeled! I went to Farmers to see more of the product there, and no, this is a very yellow-based powder. So, if you have very pale skin like me, with pink/cool undertones, beware. The colour looks really off with my skin tone. I might (just) get away with it using a light coverage in summer, or even as a bronzer (!). Disappointing as I was looking for a locally produced alternative to my staple Everyday Minerals, which I order from the US, in a shade called "rosy light", and has true cool tones. As for staying power, buildability, settling in fine lines etc - I found the Antipodes product really no better/worse than other brands like Everyday Minerals or bareMinerals. On the plus side, you do get a good amount of product for the price, the packaging is pretty, and it's made in NZ :-)
