The simplest way to make a smoothie is to chop up fruit, put it into a base of a water, dairy or nut milk, add some nuts, seeds, oats, or leafy green vegetables, and blend. However, there are many other things you can add to take your smoothie to the next level, often enhancing the flavour in the process. These range from exotic fruits, superfoods and powders, various herbs, protein powders and more.

Fermented foods can add a probiotic boost. Green powders may add nutritional value, particularly where green vegetables are out of season or hard to source. Essential fatty acids such as flaxseed or fish oils can add critical macronutrients lacking in many modern diets.

    I gave this protein powder a try after using NuZest. The taste is great - not chalky or a strong pea protein taste you can get. I like it but not sure my stomach does - but this could be protein powders in general vs this one. Love the packaging and the brand etc. I was hoping the isolate would be kinder on my stomach but didn't notice any difference to the NuZest so think I might just need to give them both a break.
