Ionza Alka Jug turns ordinary water into alkaline and ionized water with antioxidants. Sleek design, quick delivery of 2 litres of water at a time, great health benefits (detox, elimination of acidity, more energy,) and nice-tasting makes this jug a total delight.

Many common health issues resulting from excess acidity in the body can be relieved by regular consumption of alkaline ionised water.

Filtration media: activated carbon, it is to absorb chlorine, odour, colour, heavy metals and purifies the water.  The manufacturer uses Calgon Activated Carbon which is imported from USA, which has better adsorbability and higher cost than normal carbon.

Mineral media:

 1. Far-Infra-Red Energy Beads: it is made out of natural infrared raw materials, which add maifanshi stone and seabed minerals that contain useful trace elements, manufactured with a ceramic technology method. In the Far-Infra-Red process, the organisms absorb frequencies of 8-14um which has 90%+ infrared emissivity. I really like this product....I have measured the water pH after filtering in jug and I got 9.6...almost 10. A very alkaline water. I am happy with the product. I highly recommend

Not good. It may alkalinise water but the reduction of minerals and chemical is much less effective than other units 1/2 the price (NZ Consumer plus international tests), and the design of the jug is hopeless - the flip lid is engineered to close when you need it to stay open. There must be better options for alkalinised water.

I bought an IONZA Alka Jug the other day at Wildearth Organics, in Tauranga (Was $74 I think), but they didn\'t have any pH drops, so I ordered the pH drops from you guys, and tested my filtered tap water, as well as my filtered tap water that went through the Alka Jug. The difference was AMAZING!!! The tap water was a neutral 7-7.5 - as I kind of expected, as it\'s already got a filter system, however the filtered tap water that, in addition, went through the Alka Jug, was a beautiful deep, dark blue, meaning it was more of an 8-8.5 on the alkaline side. It\'s good to know that both the Alka Jug and the pH drops really work!!! I don\'t think I\'ve been this excited about water, ever!

I was excited to get this, and it was promptly delivered as always from healthpost. First couple of litres of water tasted great but now the water has a distinct metallic taste and I’m very dissatisfied with this jug.

For what it is it is a good product. It definitely does what it says it does and it definitely helps water to taste better. However, Distilled water is key ;)

I purchased based on good reviews, affordabliity and wanting to create a better option of consuming quality water, particularly since the water in Halswell, Christchurch became disgusting after chlorine was added. I had been trialling the Kangen water machine and learned about the ph levels and 9 is apparently perfect. Was excited to receive and try and then found that it actually didnt taste any better, whilst it removes the chlorine taste it is replaced with a horrible metallic taste, not sure if something is wrong with the filter?

Great tasting water, smooth to drink and removes the chlorine taste. Also love that it holds 2 litres. The jug itself seems to be quite cheaply made: have to hold lid on while pouring or it will fall off and the digital counter on the lid hasn't worked from day 1.

I would love to buy a water filter jug but the Ph is too high for this one. Ph needs to be around the natural level for the body 7.5

Having your Ph too high is not good for your body. Please can you make a water jug that takes out the chlorine but does not raise the ph so high. Everyhing else about the jug looks great and we were going to order several for family and friends but then saw how high the ph is.
