A connection to ancient self-care wisdom that I wish to keep alive in our modern day- a natural system of support for wellbeing. Healthy daily habits including a balanced diet, good quality sleep, home remedies, daily and seasonal routines, yoga and exercise. Practical and accessible nourishment for my mind, body and soul.
What are your daily non-negotiables to feel balanced and calm?
I love to walk with my dog in the morning. Being outside surrounded by nature first thing feels so right to me, I breathe the cool fresh forest air and get my body moving. Afterwards I take a revitalising cold shower and hydrate with herbal tea – usually ORGANIC INDIA Tulsi. These practices ground me & prepare me for the day ahead.
Tell us about your favourite mindful evening winddown practice?
I use soft light at night and avoid devices. I’ll often have a lemon foot bath or stretch while waiting for my Tulsi Sleep to steep. Before bed I massage cold pressed black sesame oil into my feet & lower legs (pulling old socks over them) as I find this to be very nourishing and then I read something soothing while sipping my Tulsi.
What Ayurvedic herbs do you reach for every day?
Tulsi Wellness, one of my favourite blends from the Organic India range, contains Tulsi, Moringa, Ashwagandha & Gotu kola, Four Ayurvedic Big Guys in the one cup of tea offering daily nourishment to the nervous system. I drink a lot of herbal tea, mostly containing Tulsi (Holy Basil), Ayurveda’s Queen of Herbs.
