Description
Absolute Essentials Clary Sage (Organic) is a refreshing and relaxing plant distillation that is used to support a positive outlook and support healthy emotional processing. It is a general leveller and can be used to support relaxation in stressful times. Clary sage can support the mind and body during premenstrual and menstrual phases, and is a great skin tonic.

A biennial or short-lived herbaceous perennial native to the northern Mediterranean Basin, North Africa and Central Asia. It grows to approximately 1 metre in height. Its recorded use goes back 6000 years. The essential oil is also widely used in perfumes and to flavour vermouths, wines, and liqueurs.

Fragrance notes:
Sweet and herbaceous with tones of fresh tobacco. Citrus and floral elements with hints of berry, apple, grape, peach and apricot.

Blends well with:
Cypress, Lavender True, Sandalwood and Citrus oils.
Ingredients

Salvia sclarea (Plant & flower, distilled, certified organic)

Naturally occurring constituents: Linalyl acetate, Linalool, Geranyl acetate, alpha-Terpineol, Germacrene-D, beta-Caryophyllene, Scareol.
Directions

For topical use:Blend with a carrier oil before applying to the skin, 5 drops per 10ml of carrier oil (i.e. almond, apricot, jojoba.)

For diffuser or vaporiser: Add 4-8 drops of essential oil as per instructions of device.

Hormonal Balance: To support healthy hormone balance in menstruation and menopause, add 5 drops to the bath every other night. Baths should not exceed 15 minutes.

Stress:Add 5 drops to a diffuser to refresh the atmosphere. Add 1 drop to 2 tsp carrier oil for massage

Positive Outlook:Add 5 drops of Clary Sage to a diffuser to create a refreshing atmosphere that supports a positive, healthy outlook. May be useful to brighten the mood. 

Skin Tonic:Clary Sage is an excellent tonic that supports healthy skin - especially useful for hormone related skin problems.
Precautions
  • Never ingest essential oils.
  • Never use them undiluted on your skin.
  • Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health professional. 
  • Never use essential oils topically on babies under 3 months old (except under the guidance of a qualified therapist). If using topically with children, halve the amount of essential oils used (e.g. 2 drops per 10 ml).
  • Avoid continual repetitive use - not more than 4-5 days in any week, unless in severe circumstances or under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
  • Avoid during pregnancy.
