Description
Absolute Essential Cypress (Organic) is an essential oil with a proud scent, like the tall tree from which it comes.

Cypress has a warm, spicy, inspiring quality that can be used as an excellent tonic for the emotions. It is uplifting and fortifying, and may be especially useful in times of sadness and to encourage assertiveness. 

Its energizing and astringent properties may be used to support healthy circulation in the body or to aid the treatment of oily skin. It is also used in natural women's health as tonic for the reproductive system.  

Cupressus sempervirens is the Latin name for the coniferous evergreen tree native to the eastern Mediterranean region. They can grow up to 35m tall and live for a very long time, with some trees reported as being a thousand years old.

The vigorous fresh scent is considered excellent for clearing the mind. These qualities also make it a popular component in perfumes. 

Fragrance notes:
Fresh, clean, citrusy yet herbaceous and spicy, with a slightly woody evergreen scent.

Blends well with:
Juniper Berry, Vetiver, Geranium, and Lemon.
Ingredients

Cupressus sempervirens (needles, distillation, certified organic, Spain).

Naturally occurring constituents: alpha-Pinene, delta-3-Carene, Limonene, Terpinolene, Cadinene, Cedrol, Terpinen-4-ol.
Directions

For topical use: Blend with a carrier oil before applying to the skin, 5 drops per 10ml of carrier oil (i.e. almond, apricot, jojoba.)

For diffuser or vaporiser:Add 4-8 drops of essential oil as per instructions of device.

Cellulite & Circulation:Supports healthy circulation and regular waste processing in connective tissue, to benefit areas of cellulite. Massage in 5 drops Cypress in 10 ml carrier oil immediately after a shower.

Fluid Retention: To support regular fluid exchange, add 5 drops to a footbath or 10 drops to a bath and soak for 15 minutes every second day or as required.

Temperature Balance: To support natural balance during menopause, add 5-10 drops in a tepid bath at night. Use regularly.

Emotional Stability: To encourage emotional balance and optimism, or to nurture healthy processing during sadness, add 5-10 drops to a diffuser o(more...)
Precautions
  • Never ingest essential oils.
  • Never use them undiluted on your skin.
  • If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health professional.
  • Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Never use essential oils topically on babies under 3 months old (except under the guidance of a qualified therapist). If using topically with children, halve the amount of essential oils used (e.g. 2 drops per 10 ml).
  • Avoid continual repetitive use - not more than 4-5 days in any week, unless in severe circumstances or under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
  • Avoid during pregnancy.
