Description
Absolute Essential Eucalyptus Blue Gum (Organic) is a clean and minty fresh plant distillation that has been used for centuries in the support of natural healthy breathing and clearing congestion. The Blue Gum species is particularly gentle which makes it suitable for babies, children and the elderly when used in half doses.

The Blue Gum, also known as the Tasmanian Blue Gum and Southern Blue Gum, is a flowering tree endemic to Tasmania and Southern Australia. It can grow up to 70 metres tall and forms a woody swelling (lignotuber) at the base which helps protect the tree when there are forest fires. It prefers moist soil conditions but can thrive in dry areas with poor soil. The wood, leaves and flowers have long been used by indigenous communities in Australia.

Fragrance notes:
Smooth, fresh and camphorous. An aroma that is warm and clean.

Blends well with:
Lavender Spike, Myrrh, and Fir Balsam.
Ingredients

Eucalyptus globulus (leaves, distilled, certified organic, Australia).

Naturally occurring constituents: 1,8-Cineol, alpha-Pinene, Limonene, Paracymen, Aromadendrene, Globulol, trans-Pinocarveol.
Directions

For topical use:Blend with a carrier oil before applying to the skin, 5 drops per 10ml of carrier oil (i.e. almond, apricot, jojoba.)

For diffuser or vaporiser:Add 4-8 drops of essential oil as per instructions of device.

Muscle Tone:Acts to support tight and tense muscle groups. Mix 5 drops with 10ml massage cream or carrier oil and rub vigorously onto the area concerned. Use as required.

Sinuses:To support a healthy upper respiratory system and congestion, add 5 drops to a steam inhalation and breathe deeply for 10 minutes.

Chest & Respiration:To support a healthy respiratory system during ills and chills season, add 5 drops to 10ml of massage cream or carri(more...)
Precautions
  • Never ingest essential oils.
  • Never use them undiluted on your skin.
  • If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health professional.
  • Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Never use essential oils topically on babies under 3 months old (except under the guidance of a qualified therapist). If using topically with children, halve the amount of essential oils used (e.g. 2 drops per 10 ml).
  • Avoid continual repetitive use - not more than 4-5 days in any week, unless in severe circumstances or under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
  • Eucalyptus can irritate the skin - dilute well.
  • Eucalyptus should be avoided during pregnancy.
