Description
Absolute Essential Geranium (Organic) is a nourishing and cleansing flower distillation that is said to lift the spirits and enhance communication. It has an inspiring aroma that when diffused creates a pleasant, positive atmosphere that can be used to enhance talks and negotiations. 

Geranium also has nourishing, astringent and cleansing properties recommended for supporting healthy skin, especially during adolescence. It has general tonic qualities on body function and can be used to support healthy hormonal balance in phases of menstruation and menopause.

A herbaceous evergreen perennial indigenous to the warm temperate and tropical areas of the world, with many found in southern Africa. A flowering plant originally grown for its beauty, it has become very important in aromatherapy and the manufacture of perfume due to its fresh and lively scent. It is also prized for its benefits to any skin type and its harmonising properties.

Fragrance notes:
Fresh, green and slightly peppery, the fragrance is sweetly floral, earthy and herbaceous.

Blends well with:
Lavender True, Basil, all Citrus oils, Palmarosa and Cedarwood.
Ingredients

Pelargonium graveolens (flower, distilled, certified organic, Egypt)

Naturally occurring constituents: Citronellol, Geraniol, Citronellyl formiate, Linalool, Guaiadiene, Isomenthone.
Directions

For topical use: Blend with a carrier oil before applying to the skin, 5 drops per 10ml of carrier oil (i.e. almond, apricot, jojoba.)

For diffuser or vaporiser: Add 4-8 drops of essential oil as per instructions of device.

Skin care: With nourishing and cleansing properties, this oil can be used as an excellent tonic for healthy skin, particularly during adolescence or during times of stress. 1-2 drops of Geranium added to your daily moisturiser will aid natural balance and rejuvenation.

Menstrual phases: To help support balance in pre-menstrual phases and a relaxed state of body and mind, add 7-10 drops of Geranium oil to the bath, or a few drops on a compress for the small of the back, before bedtime a few days before you expect menstruation. Repeat monthly as required.

Bruising: To support natural healing when skin is bruised, mix 1-2 drops in 5ml calendula oil and apply to the affected area - prior to discolouration if possible. Repeat for several days. This oil can also be blended 50/50 with (more...)
Precautions
  • Never ingest essential oils.
  • Never use them undiluted on your skin.
  • If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health professional.
  • Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Never use essential oils topically on babies under 3 months old (except under the guidance of a qualified therapist).
  • If using topically with children, halve the amount of essential oils used (e.g. 2 drops per 10 ml).
  • Avoid continual repetitive use - not more than 4-5 days in any week, unless in severe circumstances or under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
  • Do not use if pregnant.
