Description

Absolute Essential Myrrh (Wild) is a warming, musky scent that has relaxing and balancing qualities to support calm and composure. It has a host of healing and cleansing properties that support its use in skin care and repair. It offers general tonic effect on mind and body. 

Myrrh is a light orange resin extracted from a species of thorny desert tree in the genus Commiphora. It is native to northeast Africa and areas of the Arabian Peninsula. Its fragrance as incense is legendary. Myrrh's reputation is also celebrated by a variety of ancient civilisations, it features consistently in oral health formulas.

Fragrance notes:

A very sweet, musky, resinous aroma with a hint of bitter pine and strong notes of earth, wood and spice.

Blends well with:

Frankincense, Orange Sweet, Sandalwood, Rose.
Ingredients

Commiphora myrrha (Resin, distilled, wild grown, Somalia)

Naturally occurring constituents: Furanoeudesmadiene-1,3-diene, Curzerene, Lindestrene, Methoxyfuranodiene, beta-Elemene.
Directions

For topical use:Blend with a carrier oil before applying to the skin, 5 drops per 10ml of carrier oil (i.e. almond, apricot, jojoba.)

For diffuser or vaporiser:Add 4-8 drops of essential oil as per instructions of device 

Cuts & wounds:To support natural healing, add 3 drops of Myrrh and 5 drops of Lavender True to 500 ml of water and wash affected area. Repeat twice a day.

Skin care:For healthy, soft, revitalised skin after minor sun exposure, add 1 drop to your night cream or oil and apply to the face prior to bedtime. In addition, it has a calming effect on the mind.

Oral care:Add 1 drop to your usual mouth wash, swill and rinse. 

Calm: The musky scent of Myrrh supports an atmosphere of calm and composure. As a resin, it is sticky so best to blend with other ha(more...)
Precautions
  • Never ingest essential oils.
  • Never use them undiluted on your skin.
  • If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health professional.
  • Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Never use essential oils topically on babies under 3 months old (except under the guidance of a qualified therapist). If using topically with children, halve the amount of essential oils used (e.g. 2 drops per 10 ml). 
  • Avoid continual repetitive use - not more than 4-5 days in any week, unless in severe circumstances or under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
  • Avoid during pregnancy.
