Description

Solgar Dry Vitamin A 5000 IU contains the fat-soluble vitamin A.

Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin which can be found in two forms: retinol and beta carotene. Retinol can be found in foods from an animal source, and beta carotene can be found in colourful fruits and vegetables. Retinol can be used directly by the body, whereas beta carotene is converted into retinol before it can be used by the body.

Several of the body’s systems are dependent on sufficient levels of Vitamin A. It helps to nourish the skin and support wound healing. Vitamin A also supports eye health, including supporting normal night and daytime vision.

Each tablet contains:Vitamin A (as retinyl palmitate) 5000 IUVitamin C (as L-ascorbic acid) 10 mgBulking Agents: (dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, sucrose, gum arabic, corn starch)Anti-caking Agents: (vegetable magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide), cellulose gum
Directions

As a dietary supplement for adults, take one (1) tablet daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
Precautions
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not exceed 300 micrograms (1000 IUs) per day. If you are pregnant, or considering becoming pregnant, do not take vitamin A supplements without consulting your doctor or pharmacist. Vitamin A can cause birth defects.
  • Solgar products are dietary supplements. 
  • Dietary supplements are supplementary to and not a replacement for a balanced diet. 
  • Always read the label. Use as directed.
