Description
Tints of Nature Natural Dark Brown (3N) colours and cares for your hair gently and naturally. Tints of Nature is the only range of hair colours to use high quality, certified organic ingredients. It contains no harsh chemicals, such as resorcinol or nonoxynol. Damage free results without compromise, guaranteed!

Tints of Nature uses extra mild pharmaceutical grade peroxide and has the lowest possible percentage of PPDs (pigments), to minimize the possibility of allergic reaction and irritation while gently covering grey hair. The natural, organic ingredients maintain the hair's natural moisture and protein balance, so hair can return to its natural pH balance after colouring.

With certified organic aloe vera, comfrey extract and chamomile, this natural hair dye is a cleaner, less harmful alternative when compared to the more highly chemical bases used by many other hair colour products. No animal testing and no animal ingredients.

Directions

Colour Selection and ICC

Because of the more natural method used by Tints of nature, the colour of the hair can only be lifted by one shade (meaning you can only lighten your hair by one level). Each of our 24 permanent colours is described by a number followed by a letter. This is called an ICC number. Ranging from 1 (darkest) to 10 (lightest), the number on the box signifies the depth of colour.

I have been using this

"I have been using this product for 6 years or more. It covers grey well and is very natural looking. I'm happy that it's also less harmful than most hair dyes."

— Georgina B. (5/5)

I have been using Tints of Nature Natural Dark Brown hair colour every three weeks for the past two years. I love this product - it's a nice colour, covers greys well, always give a shiny healthy look to the hair when freshly coloured

"Still love this product. I don't wash my hair with the prewash as I find it doesnt cover the greys with wet hair."

— Glenda (5/5)

Highly Recommended

"I have been using Tints of Nature Natural Dark Brown hair colour every three weeks for the past two years. I love this product - it's a nice colour, covers greys well, always give a shiny healthy look to the hair when freshly coloured and the botanical plants in the product give the hair a beautiful smell. Can't fault it."

— Glenda (5/5)

Didn’t like it

"This must be the worst hair dye I tried. First it it had the most terrible and nauseating smell making me question if it is actually a natural product . The results were far from satisfactory as well; it was way too dark giving a very unnatural look and my hair feels dry and looks dull now which was not the case before I applied this hair dye. Will never use again and would not recommend to anyone."

— Sophie (1/5)

Good coverage and lasts about 6 weeks.

"Love this product, it covers the greys well and lasts 6- 8 weeks."

— Ruth (4/5)

Excellent product

"I have coloured my hair for years with supermarket products and none of them are as good as Tints of Nature. For me, grey hair coverage is 100% (unless I miss any in the application). For my shortish hair, a box can last me 1 full application and a couple of retouches. I leaves my hair looking healthy and with a pleasant smell (not chemical smell). And it doesn\'t leave a band of colour on my forehead. Highly recommended."

— Nancy (5/5)

Covered my grey hairs perfectly.

"My hair is dark brown/black. The first time I used it I didn't like the way the instructions said I had to wash my hair first, thus stripping my natural protective oils from my scalp - I certainly don't massage it in. I comb it in. Because it was applied to towel dried hair I also found it ran down my neck and face a bit but I was really pleased with the results as it covered all my grey's. For my 2nd application I applied it to my hair dry (that hadn't been washed for a few days) and it didn't run down my face and was less fussy to apply. It still turned out just as good so I will do this from now on. Maybe my hair is just really easy to dye so that might not work for everyone. I liked that it didn't have a strong smell. It still has PPD's in it but less than the supermarket stuff so I'm happy about that. My hair does not feel as shiny and soft as using the supermarket ones but I'm still happy with this product and will be what I use from now on. My greys were a little lighter than my natural hair colour but I'm not bothered at all by that and was really not noticeable."

— Tara (4/5)

it works on grey hair

"I have been using this dye for years with no reaction. On my grey hairs it is always a lighter brown than the rest of my dyed hair. I have tried using a shampoo to remove all product and oil buildup prior, and leaving the dye on the grey areas longer, but still comes out a lighter brown. In order to achieve the dark brown on the box I need to dye the grey area twice - ie another dye of the light brown the following day."

— Angela (3/5)

Good coverage, looks natural and no allergic reactions.

"Have used heaps of bottles."

— Veronica J. (3/5)

Two applications possible on short hair

"I have been using Herbatint for a few years when I saw the Tints of Nature hair dye for sale on this website. Since this product is packed of natural and organic ingredients I have decided to give it a try. I used it for the first time last week and am very pleased with the result. It covers my grey hair very well and gives a nice shine to my hair. The box can be recycled. There is also enough for two different applications on my short hair. It would be nice however to be provided with bigger gloves. My husband helps me with my hair and the gloves are too small for him."
