What are your 3 top tips for healthy, glowing skin?
  1. Eat a plant-based diet and try to eat as many colours a day as you can. Each morning, I have a raw vegetable juice, my current favourite is carrot, beetroot, kale, spinach, ginger, apple and parsley.
  2. Nature is a big part of my beauty ethos. I’m a strong believer in getting amongst fresh air and pollution-free nature to soothe the soul and cultivate healthy, glowing skin.
  3. Invest in good-quality serums. They’re great for targeting key skin concerns, they contain concentrated doses of active ingredients and a little goes a long way.
What does green beauty mean to you?

Natural-origin, toxin-free formulations, using sustainably sourced ingredients from partners that share our green ethos. Vegan, vegetarian, and organic formulations and, of course, no testing on animals.

I don’t believe beauty brands can call themselves truly ‘green’ if they continue to use plastic packaging, because the process of creating plastic is incredibly harmful to the environment and the majority of plastic ends up in the ocean or landfill – eight million tonnes a year.

From the start, Antipodes has used high-quality glass and aluminium, and I’m proud that we’ve saved more than 10 million plastic jars from landfill.

When it comes to sustainable skincare, what makes Antipodes range stand out?

Our scientific approach. We take natural, sustainably sourced ingredients, create high-tech innovative formulations, and have them tested in-vitro by an independent third-party laboratory – for example, testing products for Type I collagen production. It’s proof that Antipodes products are genuinely effective. Our formulations also do well in human clinical trials as well as independent in-vivo testing – users testing products at home and providing honest feedback.

Tell us about your favourite mindful morning practice?

I exercise each morning – often a bushwalk with Molly, my French bulldog, or I go for a run or play squash with my partner. I also treat myself to 20 minutes with a coffee at a local cafe in Wellington each morning before I hit the office.
