Description
Absolute Essential Grapefruit (Organic) has a lively, citrus scent that can be diffused to encourage an uplifting atmosphere for heightened perception and confidence.

It has stimulating, cleansing and revitalizing properties that support the natural process of detoxification, skin and muscle toning, and refreshed natural energy.

The grapefruit is a subtropical citrus tree known for its relatively large, semi-sweet fruit. It is a hybrid originating in Barbados as an accidental cross between the sweet orange and the pomelo. Originally referred to as the 'forbidden fruit' and is prized as an ingredient in dressings and beverages. It has been used in natural aromatherapy to help strengthen the mind and as a cleansing tonic.

The Grapefruit scent is light and clean and helps to lift the senses. Add a few drops to your diffuser in the morning to embrace the day with fresh, bright energy.

Fragrance notes:
Sharp and refreshing with a bitter herbaceous quality. Subtle woody hints.

Blends well with:
Rose, Patchouli Supreme, and Cypress.
Ingredients

Citrus paradisii (Rind, cold pressed, certified organic, Australia)

Naturally occurring constituents: Limonene, Myrcene, alpha-Pinene, Octanal, Decanal.
Directions

For topical use:Blend with a carrier oil before applying to the skin, 5 drops per 10ml of carrier oil (i.e. almond, apricot, jojoba.)

For diffuser or vaporiser:Add 4-8 drops of essential oil as per instructions of device.

Circulation and appearance of cellulite: Grapefruit has antioxidant properties that contribute to a healthy skin dynamic and good lymph flow. Add 3 drops of Grapefruit oil to a wet face cloth and rub vigorously on the areas concerned. Repeat daily after a shower for 3-4 weeks.

Lymphatic system: A massage practitioner can use grapefruit essential oil to support lymphatic drainage. Add 15 drops to 30ml Grapeseed oil and apply where the lymph nodes accumulate. Follow with rest and plenty of water to give the body a good flush.
Precautions
  • Never ingest essential oils.
  • Never use them undiluted on your skin.
  • Citrus oils are slightly photo-sensitising so avoid sunlight after application to the skin.
  • Should not be used by people with citrus allergies.
  • May irritate the skin if used in the bath or in combination with hot water.
  • Dilute in milk first if using in the bath.
  • If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health professional.
  • Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Never use essential oils topically on babies under 3 months old (except under the guidance of a qualified therapist).
  • If using topically with children, halve the amount of essential oils used (e.g. 2 drops per 10 ml).
  • Avoid continual repetitive use - not more than 4-5 days in any week, unless in severe circumstances or under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
  • Avoid using in the sun.
  • Avoid during pregnancy.
