Description

Blackmores Macu-Vision® is an evidence-based formula to support macular health.

Blackmores Macu-Vision® is based on the original Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS)* and contains the antioxidants vitamin C and E, and copper and zinc which all play a significant role in defending against free radical damage in the macular region, retina and lens of the eye.

New Zealand regulations require any supplement with a high level of zinc be registered with Medsafe before it can be made available for sale. Blackmores Macu-Vision® reflects the high level of zinc used in the AREDS trials, and remains the only AREDS formula registered with Medsafe for sale in New Zealand.

Each tablet contains:
 
Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) 250mg
Natural vitamin E 200IU
(d-alpha tocopheryl acid succinate 165mg)
Zinc oxide (Zinc 40mg) 49.8mg
Cupric oxide (Copper 1mg) 1.25mg
 
No added: Yeast, gluten, wheat, milk derivatives, preservatives, flavours or sweeteners.
 
Contains: Soya bean products and sulfites.
Directions

Adults: Take 1 tablet daily with main meal, or as professionally prescribed.
Precautions
  • Contains zinc, which may be dangerous when taken in large amounts or for a long period.
  • May occasionally cause gastric irritation if taken without food.
  • Not recommended during pregnancy.
  • Not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
