Description
Solgar Cod Liver Oil is a formula of fatty acids, vitamin A and vitamin D. Cod liver oil is a naturally rich source of vitamins A and D. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that supports wellbeing, and in particular, supports immune function.

Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin which can be found in two forms: as retinol or the precursor beta carotene. Retinol can be found in foods from an animal source, and beta carotene can be found in colourful fruits and vegetables. Several of the body’s systems are dependent on sufficient levels of Vitamin A. It supports skin health to provide a healthy barrier and it supports eye health including vision.

Vitamin D helps to:

  • Support normal function of the immune system

Ingredients

Each softgel contains: Cod (Fish) Liver Oil 462mg Vitamin A (1250 IU from cod (fish) liver oil and retinyl palmitate) 375 µgVitamin D (135 IU from cod (fish) liver oil and cholecalciferol) 3.4 µg

Softgel Capsule Shell: gelatin (from bovine), vegetable glycerin (from palm kernel oil and coconut oil).
Directions

Take: One (1) softgel capsule daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by a health care practitioner.

 
Precautions
  • Warning: Vitamin A - Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not exceed 300 micrograms (1000 IUs) per day. 
  • If you are pregnant, or considering becoming pregnant, do not take vitamin A dietary supplements without consulting your doctor or pharmacist. 
  • Vitamin A can cause birth defects.
