Description

Absolute Essential Frankincense (Wild) is a grounding oil made from Frankincense resin that is very useful for supporting times of stress and to enhance your mindfulness practice. It has relaxing, inspiring qualities that can be used to support calm, lift the spirit and to encourage the release of unconscious stress. 

Frankincense also has significant hydrating properties to support healthy skin tone and revitalisation. 

A hardy tree native to Africa, India and South Arabia Frankincense can grow to over 7 metres tall. The trees start to produce resin when they are about 8 years old.

Absolute Essential's Frankincense is ceremoniously harvested from trees that are over 250 years old. Frankincense has been highly prized since ancient times for its uplifting, sweet and spicy scent. It has been used broadly for thousands of years in rituals and cultural practices. 

Fragrance notes:

Deeply resinous, musty desert qualities with citrus-balsamic notes and complex spicy undertones.

Blends well with:

Myrrh, Rose, Sandalwood, Geranium and all Citrus oils.
Ingredients

Boswellia carterii (resin, distillation, wild grown, Somalia)

Naturally occurring constituents: alpha- and beta-Pinene, Limonene, Sabinene, beta-Myrcene.
Directions

For topical use: Blend with a carrier oil before applying to the skin, 5 drops per 10ml of carrier oil (i.e. almond, apricot, jojoba.)

For diffuser or vaporiser: Add 4-8 drops of essential oil as per instructions of device.

Skin tonic: Add 5 drops to 25g of moisturiser and apply nightly.

Sleep and relaxation: Add 5 drops to a diffuser in the bedroom. 

Stress relief: Add 3-5 drops to a diffuser or bath.

Massage: For a grounding massage, add 5 drops to 10ml carrier oil.

Anti-aging: Add 2-5 drops to 50g of Absolute Essential Untouched Face Cream or for added benefits also add 3 drops of Sandalwood and 2 drops of Rose.
Precautions
  • Never ingest essential oils.
  • Never use them undiluted on your skin.
  • If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health professional.
  • Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Never use essential oils topically on babies under 3 months old (except under the guidance of a qualified therapist). If using topically with children, halve the amount of essential oils used (e.g. 2 drops per 10 ml).
  • Avoid continual repetitive use - not more than 4-5 days in any week, unless in severe circumstances or under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
  • Avoid during pregnancy. 
  • Allergies: This oil blend does not contain any nut oils, however, the place of manufacture handles nut oils.
