Description

BioBalance 5-HTP (5-Hydroxy-L-Tryptophan) is an extract from the Griffonia simplicifolia seed, a naturally occurring amino acid that is the precursor in the biosynthesis of the neurotransmitters serotonin and melatonin. Serotonin and melatonin have various functions including regulation and support of appetite, mood, and sleep.

Ingredients

5-HTP (5-Hydroxy-L-Tryptophan) 150mg.

Other ingredients: Cellulose, rice flour, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide.

Griffonia simplicifolia is a woody climbing shrub native to West Africa and Central Africa. It grows to about 3m and bears greenish flowers. The plant's black seeds are rich in the active ingredient 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP).
Directions

Adults: Take 1–2 capsules daily (best before bed) or as directed by your healthcare professional.

Warning: Do not exceed recommended dosage.
Precautions
  • Please consult your healthcare professional before taking 5HTP.
  • 5HTP can cause nausea and diarrhoea in some individuals. It is advised that you stop taking 5HTP if you experience this.
  • If you have not taken a 5 HTP supplement before, we recommend starting with a lower dose BioBalance 5HTP 50mg.
  • Not to be taken if pregnant, breast feeding or on antidepressants. 
  • This product may cause drowsiness and should not be taken while driving or operating heavy equipment.  
  • Always read the label and use as directed.  
  • Supplementary to a balanced diet.  
  • Or as directed by a healthcare professional.
  • Store below 30°C in a dry place. 
  • Keep out of reach of children.
